European Directive

MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) is a European directive that regulates the operations of banks, brokerage houses and other companies conducting brokerage activities. It applies in European Union countries as well as Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Its main objectives are to improve customer protection, increase the transparency of financial services and enhance competition in the financial instruments market.
