Bank Millennium launches travel insurance in the mobile app and in Millenet

Bank Millennium customers can now buy international travel insurance completely online – in the mobile app and in the Millenet internet system. Thanks to the unique option “Travel help” customers also get the possibility to contact the insurer quickly. This is extremely helpful in case of business and pleasure international travel.

Bank Millennium is the first and only bank in Poland to offer the “Travel help” service. It is a special button – a widget, which is available in the mobile app and can be set up to be visible before logon. Its additional advantage is the fact that it works even without internet access. It allows making a direct phone call to the insurer or texting the insurer with a request to call back. The text is generated automatically – it features the policy number and location of the customer. The insurer gets information immediately about the customer’s whereabouts and can thus arrange for necessary help very quickly.

Another innovation is the refund of cost of a doctor’s visit/appointment (if the customer will have to pay for it personally) promptly after it has taken place (up to PLN 1,200, not later than within 24 hours) as well as additional risk individually tailored to other travel participants. The insurance offer has been prepared specially for customers of Bank Millennium by ERGO Hestia and with this range of cover it will be available only to the bank’s customers.

Customers of Bank Millennium can buy travel insurance for themselves as well as for accompanying persons who do not have to be the bank’s customers (e.g. their children). In total one policy may have as many as 10 persons insured and if more persons are travelling – it is enough to buy a second policy. The process is extremely intuitive and convenient. Thanks to an advanced multichannel approach the customer can save the application in each stage of the purchase process and continue processing it on any device in Millenet or the mobile app. After making the purchase the policy as well as all important information about the insurance will be available both in the mobile app as well as in Millenet. Additionally persons travelling by car can buy assistance insurance for their car for the duration of the trip, which makes the offering of travel insurance from Bank Millennium even more comprehensive.

It is a comprehensive solution with extensive range of cover, available in three variants, with medical treatment sums insured up to even PLN 800,000. Medical transport and rescue costs have not been capped with additional limits and the insurance will also be handy in case of a terrorist attack. Thanks to flexible cover, which depends on the planned activity or state of health, each traveller can tailor the insurance to his/her particular needs by choosing relevant extensions. Travel insurance offered by Bank Millennium provides attractive range of cover:

  • high sums insured, corresponding to the actual needs of travellers,
  • medical transport and rescue costs (particularly important for skiers) up to 100% of medical treatment sum insured (over and above the market standard),
  • extensive emergency assistance coverage, including help in case of cash loss – the insurer will “lend” money to the customer and will arrange help in getting new documents if they get stolen (including arranging and paying for travel expenses to get to an embassy or consulate),
  • coverage also in case of terrorist attacks,
