Rapid growth in photovoltaics investments
Energy independence is a slogan that in the era of high energy costs appears in the minds of entrepreneurs more and more often. To achieve this, Polish companies are increasingly investing in renewable energy sources, mainly photovoltaics, and are more and more willing to finance it with leasing. So far, Millennium Leasing has financed photovoltaic systems with a total value of nearly 360 mln PLN for over 3.3 thousand customers, recording an over 127% increase in the number of photovoltaic lease agreements since the beginning of 2021.
- We support green change in Polish companies by focusing on financing green products and assets. We actively follow the market and the needs of companies, which is why this year we have expanded the leasing offer with the possibility of financing heat pumps in a simplified procedure, in the MilleSun programme. Soon, we plan to add energy storage facilities to it – says Marcin Balicki, Chairman of Millennium Leasing.
Photovoltaic systems significantly increase the predictability of costs, which is necessary in the era of rising electricity prices, while the payback period in photovoltaics has been significantly shortened, which currently amounts to only about 3-4 years. Until recently, it was even 6-7 years.

Entrepreneurs' concerns about high costs are justified, especially in the era of inflation and high interest rates. That is why it is necessary to talk about the entire financing model. It is important to choose the right financing structure. - fixed, predictable monthly instalments, thanks to the fixed interest rate option;
- the possibility of obtaining low monthly instalments, thanks to the leasing period up to 8 years,
- minimum own contribution in financing the item - downpayment from 0%;
- simplified formalities – the financing decision can be obtained in a few minutes after submitting the declarations, without the need to provide financial statements.
Most often, the leasing offer of photovoltaic system is used in Millennium Leasing by companies from the retail trade, transport of goods, car workshops, production companies and wholesalers.
