Special I Help Transfer in Bank Millennium’s mobile app

Bank Millennium has introduced a special type of transfer in the mobile application. Thanks to it customers can can easily transfer money to support refugees from Ukraine, who came to Poland in result of the ongoing war. Soon it will also be available in the Millenet internet system.

The I Help transfer is available in the mobile application as a new type of transfer, you can also go to it directly from the PUSH message sent by the bank. The customer can transfer money to two organisations that support Ukrainian citizens in the long term – the Polish Red Cross and Caritas Poland. The account number of the organisation is provided automatically. The customer only enters the amount, confirms the transfer, and the money goes directly to the account of the selected institution. Soon the I Help Transfer will also be available in the Millenet internet system.

Bank Millennium is actively involved in helping Ukraine. The new type of defined transfer is another step in the bank's support for Ukrainian citizens.

From 27th February we exempted customers of Ukrainian nationality from fees for account service, for a payment card and for all withdrawals from ATMs. Additionally from that day we do not charge the commission on all cross-border transfers sent by individual customers to Ukraine, regardless of the nationality of the sender.

On 5th March, we made it easier to open accounts. Ukrainian citizens who come to Poland in connection with the ongoing war, only need a passport to open an account in Bank Millennium. Proof of residence and employment in Poland is not required. The account can be opened in Bank Millennium's own branches throughout Poland. After downloading the mobile application, it is possible to launch contactless payments by phone (card tokenisation), which allows you to immediately use the funds on the account.

The Bank also provided support in the total amount of PLN 400,000 to four non-governmental organisations that have the experience and ability to help people in deep crisis situations, on a broad scale – the Polish Red Cross, Polish Humanitarian Action, Caritas Poland and the Salvation Foundation, transferring PLN 100,000 to each of them. As part of the Bank Millennium Foundation, we also launched funds for the grant volunteer program #sluchaMYwspieraMY for employees who will want to help Ukrainian citizens individually, in their local communities.

Bank Millennium's clients can also count on the support of consultants who speak Ukrainian at +48 22 598 40 45. The hotline is available from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
