"Happy Day" promotion on World Savings Day

World Savings Day is celebrated on 31 October since already 89 years ago, its fundamental aim being to promote the idea of regularly putting money aside for the future. On this day Customers of Bank Millennium will be able to enjoy the specially prepared "Happy Day" offer. All those who set up a Millenet deposit in PLN for a term of 32 to 61 days between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. will get an interest rate raised by 1 p.p. over the standard offer. Thus the deposits will deliver a yield of 3% per annum.

According to data from the latest report by Millward Brown, prepared for Bank Millennium, 75% of the Polish population are aware of the need and benefits of saving for the future. In practice however 40 per cent of us put some money aside – says Marek Ubysz, Head of the Savings Products Sub-unit in Bank Millennium. – It is essential to be consistent and systematic. In my opinion the World Savings Day is a great opportunity to decide to secure one's financial future, starting at least with putting aside small sums of money – Marek Ubysz adds.

A good motivator to decide to start saving is to define a specific goal for putting money aside.
