Bank Millennium’s new Mobile Application with biometric access
Bank Millennium is the first in Poland to launch its Mobile Application today, in which loyalty cards can be stored easily and which can be synchronised with a smartwatch. It is also one of the few apps to offer extensive personalisation and logon with a fingerprint.
Mobile banking represents huge potential, which we want to put to the best use possible. This is why we worked intensely on creating an app, which will adapt to the user’s specific needs both in terms of looks as well as functionality and availability of individual transactions. We are also planning to launch the Millenet transactional system in Responsive Web Design (RWD) technology still in this half of the year. - Ricardo Campos, Director of the Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium said.
Fingerprint logon
The Bank Millennium mobile app is one of the first in Poland to introduce the option of logon with a fingerprint. Biometric access will be available first of all to users of smartphones equipped with fingerprint readers i.e. iPhones with Touch ID function and Samsung phones with Pass technology. Naturally customers can logon in the traditional way by using the PIN number.
Loyalty cards
Loyalty card storage is an improvement for all who do not care about carrying plastic in their wallets. The new app permits easy storing and arranging loyalty card images in the phone’s memory and using them in shops or when paying for services. The process is very simple – all it takes is to scan the loyalty card, put it in the smartphone wallet, which can store up to 30 cards and display it on the screen when necessary.
A smartwatch bank
After synchronising the app with a smartwatch, just by glancing at the wrist: check the balance of accounts and cards, find the nearest Millennium branch or cash machine and check current FX rates.
Personalise or a more tailored app
The app has been designed to enable easy personalisation by each user. Thus it is possible to select a personal wallpaper, define shortcuts to most frequently done transactions and add widgets, which allow checking the account or card balance or paying by BLIK without logon. A major convenience is also the possibility to modify the list of beneficiaries directly in the app.
The new app also comes with new graphics and more transparent presentation of information. All the most often looked up data are easily accessible and visually highlighted. Additionally the already highly simplified sending of a transfer takes even less time and is even more convenient. Another innovation are the app guides, which show how to use the app and tailor it to one’s needs.
The new Bank Millennium Mobile Application is available for all devices, which run on Android or iOS operating systems starting from version 4.0 or 7.0 respectively. For more information go to: https://www.bankmillennium.pl/nowa-aplikacja-mobilna/.
