Mobile authorisation of transactions in Bank Millennium

Bank Millennium has introduced Mobile Authorisation i.e. a new way of confirming transactions made in the Millenet internet banking system. Thanks to the new solution transaction can be confirmed more conveniently in Bank Millennium’s mobile app without the need enter SMS passwords. Mobile Authorisation is being launched by the bank gradually; the first customers can already use this service.

- Change of the procedure for authorising transactions from SMSP@sswords to Mobile Authorisation requires minimum effort on part of most customers because it takes just one click. In certain cases additional verification may be necessary during the activation process. However also in this case we wanted to make it as simple as possible. One of the components of additional verification, in place of the codes to be remembered as used on the market, is identification in the app of an image, which corresponds to a word heard during the service activation process. Thus we were able to make this necessary process somewhat more attractive and above all to make it more user-friendly - Halina Karpińska, Director of the Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium, said.

Confirming a transaction by means of Mobile Authorisation is very simple. As a customer you will logon to the mobile app (with PIN number, fingerprint or FaceID), then on the screen with transaction details you will confirm the transaction with a single click. Before authorisation all transaction details will be shown so you will see much more information than in case of SMS P@sswords, which is limited by the text structure.

Additionally you can control all transactions authorised in your device. In the mobile app in the Settings > Mobile Authorisation sections the history of all mobile authorisations with their statuses as well as execution time is presented.

To use Mobile Authorisation you only need to have:

  • access to Millenet with a defined number for SMS P@sswords;
  • • activated the latest version of Bank Millennium’s mobile app for Android or iOS, which serves as the tool for Mobile Authorisation.
