Customers of Bank Millennium will confirm PIT-WZ with the Trusted Profile
From 15 March the annual personal tax return will be prepared for a taxpayer by the Tax Office. All it takes is to electronically submit the PIT-WZ application, which can be confirmed i.a. with the Trusted Profile. Bank Millennium allows a Trusted Profile to be easily created in the Millenet online banking system, without the need to visit public administration offices. Customers will logon to the Trusted Profile with use of the same data as in case of Millenet, while instructions placed on e-administration websites will be authorised by them by logging on to the bank and typing an SMS P@ssword.
Pursuant to a PIT-WZ application the Tax Office will itself prepare the tax return. The application may be submitted only electronically via the Tax Portal or the e-deklaracje system. A PIT-WZ application submitted in the Tax Portal may be confirmed with the Trusted Profile, which can easily be created in Bank Millennium’s online banking system.
- From the very outset Bank Millennium has been supporting the creation of digital public administration. The first step was participation in the government Family 500+ Programme and allowing customers to apply for the benefit via Millenet. Customers eagerly used this improvement – approximately 50,000 applications were submitted. Later we made PUE ZUS (ZUS electronic services platform) available in Millenet as well as the possibility to create a Trusted Profile. Thus customers have convenient access to e-administration from the online banking system, which becomes a window to the digital world of Polish administration - Ricardo Campos, Director of Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium.
Trusted Profile is a free electronic signature, which allows official business to be handled on electronic websites of public administration, including ePUAP, PUE ZUS, CEIDG etc. Trusted Profile can be used by customers i.a. to:
- register a business,
- submit tax returns, applications and sign documents online,
- report loss or mutilation of a Personal Identity Card,
- obtain vital records documents (marriage, birth, death certificates),
- apply for a European Health Insurance Card,
- apply for a new driver’s license,
and receive many other services provided by e-administration.
The process of setting up the profile is very simple. The customer must log on to the Millenet online banking system and in the My Finances – MilleUrząd menu select Trusted Profile. Next the customer must accept relevant assents and check if data (name, surname, PESEL) in the form are correct. The only information, which the customer must personally enter into the system, is phone number and e-mail address. Finally the customer will approve profile creation by using SMS P@ssword. When approved, Trusted Profile becomes active and the customer may use e-administration services.
Trusted Profile remains valid for 3 years. An individual person can only have one active Trusted Profile, which practically means that it can be linked to the online banking system of just one bank.
