Joao Bras Jorge is the new President of the Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce

On 20 May 2016, the Annual General Meeting of the Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (PPCC) approved the nomination of Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium Mr Joao Bras Jorge for the position of new President of the Board of the Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.

Joao Bras Jorge is involved with the financial sector in Portugal and in Poland since twenty-six years. He started his professional career as a stockbroker, later i.a. to sit on the Board of an investment bank and also on the Board of the Lisbon Stock Exchange. Before coming to Poland for five years, he remained in charge of the Retail Banking Customers Division and coordinated operations of the Millennium bcp Retail Network in Portugal. 

He in the Management Board of Bank Millennium S.A. in Poland since 2006. In the years 2006-2008 he managed the Retail Banking division and from 2009 – the Corporate Banking area. In 2010, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, to become Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium S.A. in 2013. 

Joao Bras Jorge graduated in management from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa as well as AESE Business School in Lisbon.

At the same time a new Board of PPCC was appointed, comprising representatives of selected member companies in the Chamber, including Jeronimo Martins Polska, Eurocash, Mota-Engil Central Europe, EDP-R, Martifer Renewables, CJR Wind, Haitong, Parfois, Colep Polska, Domański Zakrzewski Palinka, LPR and Browary Łódzkie.
