Intervention in Dom Maklerski Millennium

Bank Millennium hereby announces that on 14 January 2005 in the afternoon a man, identified by the police as Jerzy G., entered the premises of the brokerage house Dom Maklerski Millennium in Warsaw and threatening with the possession of explosives forced all the employees to leave the office. After the police intervention Jerzy G. left the building late in the evening. No one was injured and no material damages were inflicted.

In this connection please be informed that since 1993 Jerzy G. has been the client of the brokerage house Biuro Maklerskie Banku Gdańskiego S.A. in  Bydgoszcz (today Millennium Dom Maklerski) where he had the securities account. In 1995  Jerzy G. questioned the share sale and purchase transaction on his securities account, realised in compliance with binding procedures. The transaction was realised upon the order place via telephone.
Jerzy G. lodged a complaint in that matter one year later, in 1996, and after it had been rejected he brought the case to the court for the issue of the shares sold earlier.
At the same time, he sold all the other shares deposited on the investment account.

With the decision dated 21 June 2000 the District Court in Bydgoszcz discontinued the case brought by Jerzy G., and on 16 March 2001  the Appellate Court in Gdańsk discontinued the appeal of the decision made by the court of the first instance in the case.
The claims made by Jerzy G.  were deemed to be ungrounded by two common courts,  which recognised that the bank had not taken any unlawful  actions in relation to Jerzy  G.  The sentence is final and valid.

Jerzy G.  has not submitted any claims towards the Brokerage House as of 2001.
