Bon Voyage with a debit card in euro!

In March Bank Millennium launched the Millennium Maestro Voyager debit card cleared in euros. Until the end of June the card can be used for free.

As of today travelling in Euroland may be even more attractive by being cheaper. Thanks to the new Millennium Maestro Voyager card transactions made in euro may be cleared directly on a linked FX account. This means that non-cash payments as well as euro cash withdrawals from cash machines are debited to the account directly, without FX conversion and charges. Additionally the card can be used free of charge until 30 June.
Millennium Maestro Voyager is an international card, cleared in euros, issued to an account kept in the European currency. Cash and non-cash card transactions are made up to the balance available on the account. Transactions made in PLN or foreign currencies other than euro are converted to euros and then charged to the account.
Consumer behaviour analysis shows that our customers travel often - privately, with their family and on business. Some of them also have FX accounts. Foreign spending constitutes 5% of the value of all non-cash transactions, with Customers of Private Banking paying abroad with their cards 3 times more often than mass-market customers, with the value of their transactions being five times higher. Thus I am convinced that the Millennium Maestro Voyager card will be appreciated by customers, especially the better-off ones - comments Honorata Byczyńska, Director of the Consumer Finance Subunit in Bank Millennium.
