- Bank Millennium has been highlighting and promoting culture since 30 years. We are glad that out catalogue of events includes one of the most important festivals of light in Europe, one of the most magical ones. For Bella Skyway Festival we select projects, which make use of new technologies to stimulate imagination and to provoke emotions ― Iwona Jarzębska, Director of the Public Relations Department in Bank Millennium, said. ― Diversity and new technologies are part and parcel of our operating philosophy and the festival allows us to combine them also with art, which indeed is available to everyone during these few days in Toruń ― Iwona Jarzębska added.
Bella Skyway Festival involves a dozen-or-so phenomenal installations and 3 D mappings, created by local and foreign artists. Bank Millennium has been supporting this unique and absolutely exceptional festival since 2011.
— since 2011 thanks to Bank Millennium’s support Bella Skyway Festival has been creating unusual installations. Thanks to cooperation with Bank Millennium we can reach for the most interesting artistic projects, attracting the most interesting artists to Toruń — Przemysław Draheim, Press Spokesman of Toruń Cultural Agenda, said.
This year the Bank has sponsored an incredible structure, which is making a hit at various events worldwide, including Manchester, Madrid or Abu Dhabi. In the very heart of the city on “Rynek Staromiejski” square, viewers will be able to see “Devotion”. It is a fantastic 360-degree projection, which will be presented in a modern spherical projection tent. The show will make reference to the festival topic and its main theme, which is “diversity of places” - inspired by the fiftieth anniversary of Man’s first Moon landing. It will come up against man’s unceasing desire to find that, which is new, to experience that, which seems to be unattainable. The Festival, just like nature, which forms as yet unknown parts of the Universe, thanks to creativity and artistic imagination, will turn the city into exceptional space, with the viewer finding himself in the very centre of this journey into the unknown.
The “Devotion” performances will be shown during the Festival hours i.e. daily from 8:30 p.m. to 00:00. The show will take about 6-7 minutes. Agenda and detailed information on: www.bellaskyway.pl.
