Bank Millennium hailed 2017 Transparent Company of the Year

Prepared by the Institute of Accounting and Taxes together with Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet, the ranking is aimed at public companies from WIG 20, 40 and 80. Results were based on a questionnaire survey, which spanned 3 most important areas of communication with the market: financial and other reporting, investor relations and corporate governance. The idea behind the competition is to recognise those companies, which communicate with the market most efficiently, run their business in a transparent way, observe deadlines e.g. for publishing reports and develop in line with their published strategies.

For a long time now Bank Millennium has been one of the companies to report their results first. The Bank published the 2017 financial and CSR report in February 2018 already, thus putting it among the fastest-reporting WSE companies. Only 3.7% out of 416 analysed public companies publish their annual reports before the end of February of the year following their financial year.* The Bank is also among the 0.5% of companies, which keep a 1-3-week period between publishing the annual report and announcing a General Shareholders’ Meeting. Because the speed, at which information is provided, is important for investors, Bank Millennium’s General Shareholders’ Meeting was convened the next day after publication of the annual report. Apart from the annual report sent to the stock exchange Bank Millennium published a special online version of the financial and CSR report. Online access to the report allows desired content to be found quickly and intuitively and also offers the possibility to compare selected financial and non-financial data. "Transparent Company of the Year" is another award granted to Bank Millennium for the high quality of communication with the capital market. The company also received a distinction for its 2016 on-line report in the "The Best Annual Report" competition organized by the Accounting and Tax Institute. The Bank was also at the forefront of the WIG30 companies ranking of the best investor relations prepared by Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet and the Chamber of Brokerage Houses.

Results of the “Transparent Company of the Year” ranking were announced on 25 April at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The award was collected on behalf of Bank Millennium by Artur Kulesza – Director of the Investor Relations Department.
