Millennium Bank awarded in Złoty Bankier competition

Bank Millennium has awarded in this year’s edition of the Złoty Bankier (Golden Banker) competition in the “Security: Best Practice” category. Millennium also came among the top three in “Quality of Service”.

This was the seventh round of Złoty Bankier. This year’s edition was special however – for the first time in the competition’s history experts from Obserwatorium.biz and Securing conducted and independent and comprehensive IT security audit, while TNS Polska looked at multichannel quality of service. 

In the “Security” category 18 banks were surveyed. A check was made of electronic banking system availability, authentication and authorisation tools used in electronic banking and electronic payments; privacy of the line between the bank and the customer, the process of registering a mobile device, quality of passwords and procedure for their recovery as well as protection from hacking attacks. Moreover an evaluation was made of educating customers in using electronic banking safely, handling incident reports and the applied solutions for reporting security-related incidents.  

- It is an extremely important recognition for us because security matters are one of the more important aspects of our activities. We are an innovative bank and we implement many new solutions for customers, however we always design them with security in mind, aiming at offering the best mix of convenience and security. We do realise that e-banking users often unwittingly expose themselves to threats in the web; this is why we attach so much importance also to educating customers, regularly informing about new threats and continuously reminding people of safety rules. Złoty Bankier is a renowned competition organised by Puls Biznesu and Bankier.pl, which evaluates the level of banking service, quality of products, advertising and social media communication, social responsibility as well as innovations launched by banks.
