Why can't you enable biometric authentication?

The new biometric module requires a higher level of security. As a result, when you try to enable biometric authentication using your fingerprint or Face ID, you may receive a message stating that your device does not meet the security requirements. This most commonly happens when the device's operating system has been modified, for example if the device has been rooted. In such cases, restoring the device to its factory settings may resolve the issue.
