Bank Millennium attaches great importance to communicating with communities that remain outside the sphere of its direct business activity: non-governmental, community and self-government organisations as well as foundations. In pursuit of its social mission the bank implements long-term programmes with these institutions, in the area of culture, education and charity initiatives.
These efforts constitute part of the broadly understood communication programme of a company, which is an institution of public trust. The Bank, be it in the capacity of a patron, or carrying out sponsorship or promotion programmes, focuses special attention on their quality as well as the competence and credibility of its partners.
Bank Millennium has been engaged in cultural events for almost 30 years. Parallel to its business operations, it has been supporting national as well as local cultural events. The bank is a 360° sponsor of culture because it promotes art in almost all its forms, including music, painting, sculpture, film, theatre, photography, literature and performance. Bank Millennium reaches out to niche and popular culture. It acts as a long-term partner. During 17 years it sponsored the “Golden Sceptre” award for outstanding artists. 11 years - “Pearls of Millennium”, a joint project of the Bank and TVP, which aimed to produce, promote and broadcast on TVP channels high culture artistic events. For 15 years now, the Bank has been sponsoring “Złota Tarka” Old Jazz Meeting, International Traditional Jazz Festival. For 6 years, the Bank has been involved in “Sacrum Profanum” contemporary music festival and for 5 years – in the Gdańsk Music Festival; for 5 years - in Bella Skyway Festival. For 7 years the Bank was involved in “Two Theatres” Festival; it also supported the Mozart Festival at the Warsaw Chamber Opera as well as many others.
