Bank Millennium sponsors the 31st Bydgoszcz Opera Festival

On Saturday, 26 April, the 31st Bydgoszcz Opera Festival begins at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz. It is the largest review of the most interesting achievements of musical theatres in Poland - both domestic and foreign. Bank Millennium is again a sponsor of the event.
The Bydgoszcz Opera Festival has been held since 1994 on the stage of the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz and is one of the most important events on the cultural map of Poland.
- The history of Bank Millennium is inextricably linked to culture. Right from the very start of its business activity i.e. from close to 40 years, the Bank has been engaged in providing access to and promoting culture in Poland. It supports national and local cultural events. As part of our patronage, we have had the pleasure of cooperating for many years with Opera Nova, one of the most important artistic institutions in the Kujawy and Pomerania region, which wonderfully promotes opera and ballet. The Bydgoszcz Opera Festival is an undertaking that has made the region particularly famous – says Michał Kąkolewski, Regional Director at Bank Millennium.
This year's edition of the festival will open with a unique performance - "Carmen" choreographed by Johan Inger, performed by the Opera Nova Ballet in Bydgoszcz. Johan Inger, one of the world's greatest choreographers, brings Bizet's famous opera into the fascinating world of dance.
The festival will last from 26 April to 22 May. The two weeks of the festival are a time of meetings between artists and people of culture with enthusiasts of various musical genres: opera, operetta, musical, ballet: classical and modern.
Bank Millennium has been culturally involved for nearly four decades. As a sponsor of culture on a 360° basis, it promotes art in almost all its forms, engaging usually in long-term projects.
