FAQ

  • What is the DuetPlus plan?

If you chose DuetPlus plan, you will invest half of the money in a fixed-interest rate deposit (you can choose between a 3-month deposit with 1.00% per annum interest rate or a 6-month deposit with 1.00% per annum), and will invest the other half in one of five available Millennium SFIO subfunds (without a specified investment tenor).

  • Can I withdraw the money at any time?

Yes, you can always make an earlier withdrawal of money from DuetPlus plan – from the time deposit part as well as from the fund. If you withdraw money from the deposit part before its maturity, interest shall not accrue. However if you withdraw money from the fund part during the life of the deposit, we shall charge a redemption fee of 1.50% of the redemption amount, while the interest rate on the time deposit part will be reduced to 0.01% on the entire life of the deposit.

  • From what amount can I set up DuetPlus plan?

You can set up DuetPlus plan starting from as little as PLN 2000 (PLN 1000 goes to the time deposit and the other PLN 1000 to the mutual fund).

  • How many DuetPlus plans can I set up?

There are no restrictions in this respect – you can set up any number of the plans.

  • What happens after end of DuetPlus plan?

6 months after setting up DuetPlus plan the participation units you hold will cease to be covered by the plan and will be recorded on a new standard register. Your investment will be continued under terms not subject to the plan Regulations any more. Meanwhile your deposit will mature with the interest rate and duration, for which it had been set up.

  • What maximum amount can I allocate to the bank deposit?

There are no restrictions in this respect – you can deposit any amount, naturally bearing in mind the minimum amount required to set up the plan. Remember also that the amount you invest in a selected subfund must be the same as the amount on the bank deposit.

  • What are B-category participation units?

Thanks to using B-category participation units you do not pay a handling fee on money invested (purchase order). In case of this category of participation units you can pay a handling fee only when withdrawing the money (redemption order). It is worth remembering that the maximum redemption fee is 1.50% of the redemption amount and it falls over time. 24 months after the start of the investment the fee will be PLN 0.

Investing in funds involves risk of a loss as well as the obligation to pay handling fees and income tax. The Fund does not guarantee attainment of the investment goal or a specific investment result. The net value of funds’ assets is highly volatile due to the composition of the investment portfolio. The issuer, surety or guarantor of securities, which make up more than 35% of assets of Millennium Funds (except Millennium SFIO) may be the State Treasury, NBP, US government, European Central Bank or the European Investment Bank.

  • What is a mutual fund

Mutual Fund – is an entity with legal personality operating under the Act of 27 May 2004 on mutual funds. A mutual fund’s sole business is to invest monies collected publicly or privately in securities and other property rights stipulated in the Act.

In exchange for money paid into the fund the investors receive participation units. Their number reflects the proportional share of a participant in the mutual fund’s assets. With a pre-defined frequency the mutual funds determines the value of participation units i.e. calculates fund assets net value per participation unit. For this purpose the fund valuates the investment portfolio and then divides the amount by the number of participation units due to all participants. The value of a participation unit may change during each valuation day.
