500+ application for Ukrainian citizens available at Bank Millennium
Bank Millennium has made available the possibility of applying for the 500+ benefit for citizens of Ukraine. The application is also available in the e-banking in the Polish and Ukrainian language. This is yet another improvement in a number of social initiatives and assistance to the refugees from war-torn Ukraine.
An application for the 500+ benefit for Ukrainian citizens can be submitted via Millenet in the MilleOffice tab. Entering the application, clients choose whether they want to fill it in Polish or Ukrainian. Another advantage of the introduced solution is the fact that the interested party goes through the entire formal process in the electronic banking channels, without the need to visit any office. Soon, the application will be also available in the Bank Millennium’s mobile app.
The Family 500+ benefit for Ukrainian citizens is the funds that ZUS grants and pays to Ukrainian citizens who have legally arrived from Ukraine to Poland after 23 February 2022 in connection with the war hostilities or who have a custody of a child that is a refugee. The child's parent, temporary guardian or person exercising foster care over the child may apply for the benefit on the basis of a decision of the Polish court. To submit an application through the bank, a citizen of Ukraine and a child must be assigned a PESEL number and live in Poland. When filling out the form, also the travel document on the basis of which people crossed the border will be needed as well as child's birth certificate and a document confirming the legality of stay in Poland. The temporary guardian must additionally submit a court order.
Importantly, the application for parental 500+ benefit cannot be submitted by temporary guardians of children who, before arriving from Ukraine to Poland, stayed in Orphanages. In such cases, a starost or an authorized employee of the organizational unit of the county may apply for the benefit. The money will then be paid to the county's bank account and transferred in kind or in the form of payment of services.
The introduction of the 500+ application for Ukrainian citizens is another yet convenience at Bank Millennium. Earlier, the bank launched a hotline in Ukrainian, waived the fees for account service, payment card and all the withdrawals from ATMs for the citizens of Ukraine, and allowed opening Trusted Profile for the Ukrainian citizens who are using a Ukrainian foreign passport, or a Ukrainian ID card issued after 1 January 2016.
