Confirming identity in Bank Millennium’s Internet banking system and mobile app

Bank Millennium provides the Millennium ID service for users of online banking and mobile application. The solution works on the basis of the mojeID service provided by Krajowa Izba Rozliczeniowa. The bank's customers gain the ability to easily and securely confirm their identity online both with commercial service providers and in public administration websites. Millennium ID also allows access to login and data transfer history.
Millennium ID is a new service of Bank Millennium, which customers can use in the mobile application and in the Millenet online banking system. On the basis of bank data, they have the opportunity to create their digital identity, i.e. the so-called Electronic Identification Means, to enable remote confirmation of the bank's customer's identity using the mojeID service. An additional advantage of Millennium ID is the function of checking login history and sharing verification data from the beginning of using the service.

The mojeID service is a convenient and secure method of remote confirmation of identity based on electronic banking – without the need for a personal visit to a public administration office or customer service point. It avoids the use of inconvenient verification methods, such as sending scans of identity documents or taking photos. mojeID is made available by a systematically growing number of service providers from various industries – insurance, healthcare, telecommunications, financial, energy or entertainment. The service also enables logging in to public administration services, as well as authentication in the process of creating and using the Trusted Profile.

Thanks to the cooperation with Bank Millennium, the group of potential users of mojeID is significantly expanding. Our service is now available to more than 21 million electronic banking users - said Wojciech Pantkowski, Vice President of the Management Board at KIR.
In order for Bank Millennium customers to be able to use the service, it is enough that on the service provider's website, in the process that requires user authentication, they choose mojeID as the method of confirming identity. Then they will click on the Bank Millennium logo and log in to online banking. In the next step, they will be asked to consent to the transfer of data to the service provider whose services they want to use. For customers using Millennium ID for the first time, an Electronic Identification Means will be created first. The user of the service is always informed about to whom and what data he is providing. After accepting this step, you are automatically transferred to the service, where you need to confirm your identity.
To create an Electronic Identification Means, directly in the mobile application or Millenet online banking system, it is enough to select the Millennium ID service from the MilleUrząd tab after logging in and confirm the data.

The mojeID service has been available on the market since 2019. In 2021, it was awarded the "Teraz Polska" emblem and the Digital Excellence Award in the Digital Strategic Perspective category.
