Bank Millennium provides new contactless payment methods

Bank Millennium customers can now make contactless payments using an even wider range of wearable devices – watches of various brands, smart rings or key rings. This has been made possible by the implementation of six new payment services: Xiaomi Pay, Zepp Pay (Amazfit), Swatch Pay, Fidesmo Pay, Digiseq Pay, and Tappy Pay.

Before making their first payment, customers must add their payment card to the app associated with the device. Digiseq Pay, Tappy Pay, and Zepp Pay are only available for Mastercard. The others work with both Visa and Mastercard.

Depending on the technology chosen, payments are made using a watch, fitness band, jewellery or other gadgets with NFC functionalityThe link opens in a new tab.. When paying in the store, all you have to do is bring your device close to the terminal - depending on the amount or security settings, transaction authorisation, e.g. with a PIN code, may be required.

— The wearables market is developing extremely dynamically, and customers are increasingly willing to reach for solutions that combine functionality with convenience. We want to be part of this change, which is why we are providing new contactless payment methods that allow you to pay with a watch, ring or key fob as conveniently and safely as with your phone — comments Tomasz Perski, Manager of the Customer Solutions Development Team - Cards and Payments in Bank Millennium.

— Our goal is to offer customers modern payment solutions that can be an alternative to a traditional plastic card, but also to a phone. We know simplicity matters, so we make it possible to activate payments in the apps of your favourite devices and make fast, secure contactless transactions. This saves time and is fully convenient for everyday shopping — explains Szymon Kuchciak, Director of the Payments Cards Subunit in Bank Millennium.

Over 3 million Bank Millennium customers already actively use digital channels, and over 2.7 million use banking on mobile devices. The Bank attaches great importance to the development of mobile payments, consistently expanding the offer of modern solutions. Customers can use virtual wallets: Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Garmin Pay, as well as BLIK contactless payments.

The development of mobile payments is the next step in the implementation of the "Value and Growth" strategy for 2025-2028, which aims to increase the number of retail customers to 3.7 million and achieve the position of the bank of first choice for 70 percent of them.
