All cards issued by Bank Millennium have insurance cover
Bank Millennium informs that in connection with the Act on electronic payment instruments, effective as of 12th of October 2003, it covered with the regulations enshrined in these provisions all the cards issued for individual and business Clients, irrespective of the card date of issue.
Although pursuant to the new regulations Clients liability for the transactions made with lost cards has been limited to 150 Euro, the Bank assumes full liability for unauthorised transactions made within 72 hours prior to card blockage, also below this amount, provided the card holder has not infringed upon the principles of card protection and PIN number safe keeping.
Unauthorised card use insurance has been offered free of charge in a wide insurance package for all the credit cards issued by the Bank: VISA and American Express, and VISA Executive Electron (business clients), upon payment - 1,99 PLN monthly - in the package for VISA Electron debit cards for individual clients.
At the same time the insurance package (unauthorised card use insurance, cash robbery insurance, purchase insurance, best price guarantee insurance) for VISA Electron card holders - individual clients - and VISA Executive Electron - business clients - was enriched with 4 new insurance products:
- Loss-of-wallet insurance covers documented cost of purchase of the wallet and cost of issuing new cards and personal documents, in case of robbery, theft, or loss pursuant to the terms of the unauthorised card use insurance, or cash robbery; sums insured - up to the amount stipulated in the agreement;
- Luggage loss insurance: indemnity shall be paid for lost or damaged luggage, if the ticket was paid with card; this insurance is supplementary to the insurance issued by transportation company; sums insured - up to the amount stipulated in the agreement;
- Luggage delay insurance covers the costs of indispensable items such as clothes, cosmetics etc. incurred before delivery of luggage, if the ticket was paid with card and luggage delivery was delayed by more than 4 hours; sums insured - up to the amount stipulated in the agreement;
- Flight delay insurance covers the costs incurred for indispensable items such as drinks, meals, hotel accommodation, transport from / to the airport or terminal because of flight delay by more than 4 hours, if the ticket was paid with card, sums insured - up to the amount stipulated in the agreement.
And, additionally, in case of business clients with
- Delivery of substitute documents, which covers cost of delivery of the documents as substitute of the documents lost during business travel.
