Joao Bras Jorge was appointed Chairman of the Management Board and Bogusław Kott – Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Mr Bogusław Kott is the founder of Bank Millennium and ever since the Bank's establishment in 1989, he presided over its Management Board. The Supervisory Board of Bank Millennium thanked him cordially for the many years of work for the Bank and for the entire Bank Millennium Group.

The Supervisory Board of Bank Millennium appointed Mr Joao Bras Jorge for the function of Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank. Mr Joao Bras Jorge was accepted by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority for this function on 1st October 2013. Mr Joao Bras Jorge has been a Member of the Management Board of Bank Millennium for seven years, for the last eighteen months with the function of First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.

The new Management Board composition is: Joao Bras Jorge (Chairman), Fernando Bicho (Vice-Chairman), Artur Klimczak (Vice–Chairman), Julianna Boniuk-Gorzelańczyk, Wojciech Haase, Andrzej Gliński, Maria Campos (Members).

In keeping with the decision taken by the Shareholders during the General Meeting on 20 April 2012, Mr Bogusław Kott, became a Member of the Supervisory Board of Bank Millennium after ending work in the Bank's Management Board. During today's meeting the Supervisory Board elected Mr Bogusław Kott for the function of Chairman of the Supervisory Board, also charging him with the Chair of the Supervisory Board Strategy Committee and making him a member of two of its committees: Personnel and Audit.

Mr Maciej Bednarkiewicz, the former Chairman of the Supervisory Board, was elected Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Joao Bras Jorge, 45, is a Portuguese native, with a Degree in Management, 1985 – 1990 from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa,  and  Advance Management Program, PADE from AESE, 2004 – 2005.
In Poland since 2006 on the Management Board of Bank Millennium.
The first 3 years as Head of the Retail Banking, expanding the retail physical branches network and developing the retail banking business.
During 2009, Head of Corporate with the mission of the turnaround the Commercial and Corporate Banking business.
Since 2010 as Vice-Chairman, COO, in charge of the daily management of the bank and the coordination of the members of the management board. 
Started his career as a stock broker in 1990 and during 10 years made a career on investment banking.  Lead several transactions, and had several positions including as board member of investment bank and on the board of Lisbon Stock Exchange.
Prior to move to Poland had 5 years of experience on Retail Banking, namely as Head of Customers Division and as Coordinator of the Retail Network
