Bank Millennium S.A. seminar series for businessmen,
Assessment of the Poland's economic situation in the second half of 2003, in the light of the outcome of the referendum regarding Poland's accession to the European Union constituted the subject of another meeting of the series organised by Bank Millennium for the business circles.
Jacek Saryusz-Wolski, PhD, former Minister for European Issues, presented key problems related to the Poland's accession to the European Union and discussed the impact of the referendum outcome onto the Poland's economic situation over the next six months.
Mr. Dariusz Podym, Vice-President of the Wroclaw Regional Development Agency, presented a lecture on the EU instruments supporting development of the Mid-Corporate and Small Business Sector, as well as the economic situation in the Lower Silesia region in 2003, and after the accession to the European Union.
Mirosław Gronicki, PhD, Chief Economist of Bank Millennium, presented an analysis of the present situation of the Polish economy, and the 2003-2004 Bank Millennium forecast. His lecture pointed out internal and external threats, to which the economy may be exposed on its path to recovery. He also presented the impact of the economic environment on the Polish banking sector.
The Wroclaw meeting is a second one of a series of seminars organised by Bank Millennium for businessmen in the largest regions of the country. The next conference of the series is scheduled for July.
