Bank Millennium with the CSR Golden Leaf again

Bank Millennium’s consistent activities for sustainability and measurable successes in limiting the consumption of resources have once again been appreciated with the CSR Golden Leaf from Polityka weekly. On behalf of the Bank, the award was received by Magdalena Trzynadlowska, Director of the Sustainability Office.

- It is fantastic that the transformation towards sustainable business is not just a temporary trend, but a necessity and that we are actively participating in it. The highest CSR Golden Leaf award received once again is the best confirmation of this –– said Magdalena Trzynadlowska, Director of the Sustainability Office at Bank Millennium.- In 2022, in addition to the measurable effect of reducing own greenhouse gas emissions by over 50% compared to 2020, we expanded our product offer with investment funds promoting ESG aspects, we took action to support refugees from Ukraine and we continued the educational activities of adults and children.

CSR Leaves, the annual list of most socially engaged companies, is being prepared since 12 years already by the Polityka weekly in cooperation with Deloitte consulting company and the Responsible Business Forum. As in the previous year – apart from Gold, Silver and White – Green Leaves will also be awarded. They are awarded to companies, for which reduction of adverse impact on the climate is a key component of actions in business and in relations with stakeholders, including suppliers, business partners, employees and clients.

The CSR Golden Leaf is awarded to companies, for which implementation of guidelines contained in the ISO 26000 standard is a key component of strategic actions in business and in relations with stakeholders, employees included. The companies rely in their Activities on local and global best management practice and follow international standards. In addition, an important element of their ESG management is a comprehensive ethics management system and a written and public document that defines the rules of conduct in business activities and the highest standards of personnel management. They inform regularly about results of their actions in non-financial or integrated reports, prepared on the basis of international standards, which are subject to external independent verification.
