Visit of the President of the Republic of Portugal to Bank Millennium S.A.
Warszawa, 28.04.2004 – Today, Mr Jorge Sampaio, President of the Republic of Portugal, paid a visit at the seat of Bank Millennium S.A.
The President visited a retail branch of the Millennium network, where he reviewed the individual customer service model, structure of products and operational solutions supporting 24 hour, nation-wide banking service.
The President was also informed about the current economic situation in Poland and Polish banking system. He reviewed the history of Bank Millennium and its development plans. This was presented by Mr Bogusław Kott, Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium, who underscored the importance of the partnership with the Portuguese bank Millennium BCP, in co-operation with which a modern retail Millennium network was set up in Poland in 1998, and which today is the strategic investor of Bank Millennium S.A.
At the end of His visit President Sampaio concluded: (…) Numerous challenges lying now ahead of the united Europe call for a large doze of optimism.
