Transfer of the brokerage business to Bank Millennium
On 29 July 2022, Bank Millennium integrated brokerage services with banking services within a separate unit of the Bank under the name of Bank Millennium Brokerage Office, which reports to the member of the Bank's Management Board responsible for corporate banking. The division of Millennium Dom Maklerski (Millennium Brokerage House) into two parts, planned from 2021, as a result of which the Bank took over the brokerage business, was registered by the competent registry court on July 29, 2022.
"The transfer of the brokerage business to the Bank creates even greater opportunities for the development of these services, especially in the field of digitisation. The aim of the Brokerage Office will continue to be providing the highest quality comprehensive services in the field of capital market transactions, investment advisory, investment and financial analysis, as well as investing in shares, derivatives and bonds. Thanks to the integration, the Bank will offer clients a coherent offer of banking and brokerage services provided in one institution – said Joao Bras Jorge, Bank Millennium’s CEO.
Bank Millennium as the legal successor assumed all the rights and obligations of Millennium Dom Maklerski, including rights and obligations arising from contracts concluded with clients. Thanks to this, the clients will not be obliged to sign any annexes to existing contracts. The change of ownership does not require any additional actions from the existing clients of Dom Maklerski or the clients of Bank Millennium. All agreements will remain unchanged.
