Bank Millennium’s new website

Bank Millennium has launched its revamped website with logon page for individuals. The changes were preceded by a lot of research and customers feedback. On this basis the bank changed the visual layer of the website, aligning it at the same time with latest trends. Also the information layout was changed, with customers’ needs now as the starting point. Moreover the website was optimised with a view to its use on mobile devices.

- We designed the changes on the basis of thousands of opinions from customers and potential users. We are building all solutions for them, hence the feedback and suggestions and of paramount importance for us. We also want our services and solutions to be as convenient and user-friendly as possible. With such an approach we developed one of the best User Experiences among banks. We have recently been seeing changes in customer behaviour – more and more website views are being made from mobile devices and this frequency is increasing. This has strongly determined the new look of the website, which has been optimised with a view to its use on mobile devices. We also wanted the website loading time to be shorter than before. These changes should result in our services being even more comfortable to use. – Halina Karpińska, Director of the Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium, said.

The main changes in the website involve improvement of its legibility and transparency, aligning it with latest trends in design, optimisation for mobile devices as well as change of content presentation. On the home page you can find the new way of presenting products, divided according to customers’ needs (e.g. Leisure or Family and future).

As regards the logon page first of all the visual layer was changed. The logon method remained without changes. It will still be necessary to enter MilleKod, P@ssword1 and two selected characters from an identifier e.g. two digits from the PESEL number. However now in addition, when entering P@ssword1 or the identifier, it will be possible to use the “show characters” option.

Thanks to adjustment of the bank’s website to the needs of persons with disabilities, in April this year Bank Millennium won the “Website Without Barriers” contest, which promotes access to digital information for disabled, elderly, unwealthy persons as well as those exposed to digital exclusion. The new version of the bank’s website is also fully adapted to the needs of disabled persons.

For years now Bank Millennium has been implementing such solutions. Websites are written in simple and understandable language and may be read by text to speech readers. Blind or visually impaired persons can use the website with a keyboard only – navigating it does not require a mouse. The website allows text to be magnified and also supports high contrast mode reading.
