Nation-wide Economic Forum of Small and Medium Enterprises

Between the 3rd and 4th December this year is organised the 10th Nation-wide Economic Forum of Small and Medium Enterprises. At the meeting in Warsaw the businessmen from small and medium companies from all over the country are discussing the topic of "Small and Medium enterprises on the way to the European Union". The Forum - as every year - has been organised by the Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises and the main sponsor of this year's event is Millennium Biznes, small business network of Bank Millennium.

The Forum is a lobbying and information conference for entrepreneurs. The objective of the meeting is to present to the entrepreneurs the task they are facing and the opportunities offered by the participation in the E.U. market.
 
During the first day of the conference there are sessions dedicated to the SME development opportunities on the integrating E.U. market and possibilities to finance improvement of competitiveness on the domestic and international markets. Among others, the following persons shall take part in the discussions: Prof. Danuta Hübner - Minister for European Issues, Secretary of the Committee of European Integration, Adam Szejnfeld - Chairman of the Seym's Economic Commission, Krystyna Gurbiel - Under-secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy.
 
On the second day there shall be a session dedicated to regional policy and institutions supporting development of SMEs, and a conference wrap-up session.
 
As every year the Foundation shall also award distinctions "Entrepreneursip Leader".
The Forum is attended by private businessmen, representatives of local government organisations, representatives of voivodeship and central authorities, parliamentary caucuses and political parties, representatives of the ministry of economy, Committee of European Integration and financial institutions.
