Cycle of seminars for entrepreneurs organised by Bank Millennium

Impact of the economic policy of the government of the Republic of Poland on the activity of Polish companies between 2004-2005 was the topic of yet another seminar for entrepreneurs in the series of meetings with business circles organised by Bank Millennium.

During the seminar Jerzy Hausner, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy, presented assumptions underlying the economic policy of the government for the upcoming years, including the plan of gradual reduction of the budget deficit. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted also these economic areas, which have to be reformed for stabile growth.
 
During the panel discussion in the second part of the seminar invited experts addressed the assumptions underlying the economic policy of the government presented before. Grzegorz Wójtowicz, Member of the Monetary Policy Council, raised the structural problems of the economy, particularly the growing public debt. Professor Marek Góra from the Warsaw School of Economics underscored the importance of long-term planning in economy, whereas Piotr Cygan from the Polish Business Council indicated the factors limiting corporate investment activity.
 
The Warsaw meeting was already the fourth in the cycle of seminars organised by Bank Millennium for entrepreneurs in the biggest regions of the country.
