Bank Millennium supports the oldest cabaret festival in Poland

From 18 to 21 August, Lidzbark Warmiński will host the best Polish cabaret performers and stand-up comedians who will amuse the audience as part of the 43rd Lidzbarskie Wieczory Humoru i Satyry (Lidzbark Evenings of Comedy and Satire). A long-term sponsor of one of the most important events of the Polish cabaret scene is Bank Millennium.

"... and laughter can sometimes be a learning experience." These words of Ignacy Krasicki, called by many the "prince of Polish poets", guide the participants of the annual cabaret review Lidzbarskie Wieczory Humoru i Satyry organized in Lidzbark Warmiński. Bank Millennium has been sponsoring this event for years, which is one of the most important points on the map of lovers of satire and a sense of humour.

- The nearly fifty-year history of Lidzbark Evenings of Comedy and Satire perfectly shows how important the role of the performing art form known as cabaret is in Polish culture. For a few days, Lidzbark Warmiński becomes not only the loudest laughing city in Poland, but also a place where young artists can take an important step in the development of their stage career. We are glad that as Bank Millennium we can support culture both at the local and national level - says Dariusz Spirydowicz, Regional Director.

Performances of cabarets and stand-up comedians will take place in the Lidzbark House of Culture and on the stage of the Municipal Amphitheatre. As part of the 43rd edition of the oldest cabaret festival in Poland, the audience will watch the performances of as many as eight cabarets, including Kabaret Moralnego Niepokoju – this year's hosts of the Cabaret Night under the Stars.
