"Golden Sceptre" for Janusz Gajos
The Chapter of the Polish Culture Foundation composed of following members: Beata Tyszkiewicz (chairperson), Bogusław Kott (vice-chairman), Agnieszka Duczmal, Aleksander Krawczuk, Wacław Sadkowski, Rafał Skąpski, Andrzej Strumiłło gave the "Golden Sceptre" award to Janusz Gajos.
The actor received the award for "masterly theatrical and motion picture performances expanding our knowledge of the man of our times".
The exclusive founder of the award (PLN 110 000) and sponsor of the award-giving ceremony is Bank Millennium.
The award will be presented on 5th September 2005 in the Stanisławowski Theatre in Łazienki Królewskie park in Warsaw.

The "Golden Sceptre" award was established in 1999 by the Polish Culture Foundation and Bank Millennium.
Its winners so far are: Jerzy Giedroyc, Wojciech Kilar, Stanisław Lem, Roman Polański, Ewa Podleś and Sławomir Mrożek.
