João Bras Jorge Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium, joined the UN Global Compact Network Poland Programme Board. The Board develops key areas of UN GCNP activities aimed at ensuring effective support of business in attaining UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Bank Millennium launches an educational campaign for entrepreneurs. It wants to broaden the knowledge of people who run or intend to set-up their own business. As part of the "My Little Big Business" campaign, a series of educational podcasts, radio competitions with prizes and a number of activities involving influencers in social media are planned.

Bank Millennium employees are starting the next stage of the sports and ecological challenge as part of the Our People'23: Save the Planet campaign. After the sports competition and collecting PLN 250,000 for the Bank Millennium Foundation, the time has come for eco-volunteering. Each employee can take part in a grant competition and submit their idea for the implementation of an ecological project.

For the 44th time, Lidzbark Warmiński will be the capital of good humour. From 16 to 20 August, it will host the best Polish cabaret performers and stand-up comedians who will amuse the audience as part of the next edition of Lidzbarskie Wieczory Humoru i Satyry (Lidzbark Evenings of Comedy and Satire). A long-term sponsor of what is one of the most important events of the Polish cabaret scene is Bank Millennium.

In this year’s edition of World’s Best Digital Banks, organised by Global Finance Magazine, Bank Millennium was considered The Best Consumer Digital Bank and The Best SME Banking in Poland, as well as The Best Consumer User Experience (UX) Design and The Best Integrated Corporate Banking Platform) in Central and Eastern Europe. Bank Millennium’s mobile app was considered to be the best in Poland. The Bank also won in 8 other competition categories.

On August 11, the Old Jazz Meeting - Złota Tarka begins – an international event that brings together outstanding Polish and foreign jazz musicians every year. Bank Millennium has been a sponsor of the festival for more than 20 years now.

Among this year's projects under the patronage of Bank Millennium, there is again a "Cultural Start-up". It is a Gliwice-based initiative supporting innovative ideas, unique events and art at the highest level.

Bank Millennium acceded to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) as a direct participant. UNCG is the world's largest UN initiative for sustainable business.

Bank Millennium was once again at the forefront of the Ranking of Responsible Companies – prestigious listing of the largest companies in Poland, assessed in terms of quality of responsible management according to ESG guidelines. In the general classification, Bank Millennium moved up two positions vs the last year.
