ECO promotion of mortgage loans in Bank Millennium

Bank Millennium is introducing an ECO promotion for mortgage loans. Persons buying a property with low energy demand will benefit from a reduced interest rate.

On 15 May Bank Millennium launched a promotion for mortgage loans. The offer is addressed to persons who buy a property with low energy demand. If the customer meets the conditions of the promotion, they will be able to take advantage of a mortgage interest rate lower by 0.5 percentage points compared to the standard offer.

- A mortgage loan with a reduced interest rate in the ECO promotion can be used to purchase real estate on both the primary and secondary market. In this way, we contribute together with our customers to counteracting the negative effects of climate change. Our client - because of buying an energy-efficient property, we - because we promote the purchase of such a property. We believe that this is a responsible action for the benefit of all of us and future generations – says Waldemar Jarek, Director of the Credit Products Sub-unit in the Retail Banking Marketing Department.

The key condition for the promotion is that the EP index, i.e. the annual demand for non-renewable primary energy for the purchased property, does not exceed:

• 83.9 kWh/(m2*year) for a house and a flat in a building with up to 2 dwellings, if the application for a building permit or notification of construction was made by the end of December 2020 and 63 kWh/(m2*year), if the application for a building permit or notification of construction was made from 1 January 2021,
• 81.85 kWh/(m2*year) for a dwelling in a building with more than 2 dwellings, if the application for a building permit or notification of construction was made by the end of December 2020 and 58.5 kWh/(m2*year) if the application for a building permit or notification of construction was made from 1 January 2021.
