Volunteers in action for children from the Foreigners Centre

Yet another volunteer action is behind us. The employees from the Bank Millennium trainer team joined their forces and prepared a playground for children from the Foreigners Centre in Warsaw. It is the only facility of this kind in Poland dedicated to women and children.

The volunteer action was carried out on a large scale. A dozen or so employees from the Bank Millennium trainer team were involved in the work at the Centre. Using a grant from the Bank Millennium Foundation, the volunteers purchased necessary accessories and painted wooden structures on the playground, cleaned up the football and volleyball fields, marked the playing areas with tapes, set up the benches they had previously assembled and installed bicycle racks. They also cut the grass and planted 25 trees. To make it easier for the residents to water not only freshly planted plants, but also vegetables from the local garden, they also bought a garden hose.

The new space will serve almost 100 residents of the Centre.
