More about the Individual Retirement Protection Account (IKZE)

With IKZE, you build additional financial support for the future and benefit from tax relief.

If you contribute to IKZE for at least five calendar years and withdraw the funds after the age of 65, you pay a flat 10% tax. You do not pay capital gains tax.

Funds held in your IKZE form part of your private assets and can be inherited.

What is the IKZE contribution limit and how much can you deduct from tax in 2026?

Check the contribution limit and the maximum tax refund amount for 2026.

If you do not run a non‑agricultural business activity:

  • The contribution limit in 2026 is PLN 11,304.
  • The maximum tax refund in 2026 is PLN 3,617 (at a 32% tax rate) or PLN 1,356 (at a 12% tax rate).

If you run a non‑agricultural business activity:

  • The contribution limit in 2026 is PLN 16,956.
  • The maximum tax refund in 2026 is PLN 5,426 (at a 32% tax rate).
The contribution limit for the current year includes all contributions made to your IKZE up to and including 31 December 2026.
