Goodie platform is the 2016 Project of the Year in the E-economy Congress Competition

The goodie smartshopping platform created by Bank Millennium won in the 2016 Project of the Year category of the E-economy Congress Competition organised by the Polish Bank Association. The awards were presented during the 12th edition of the Congress, which was held on 8 June in Warsaw.
Bank Millennium has launched the online goodie platform (www.goodie.pl), which is also available as a mobile app and is a place where clients seeking inspiration meet with suppliers of trendy products, interesting services and special deals. Users will find proposals tailored to particular preferences and their current location (e.g. selected shopping centres). Goodie will also soon launch social media functionalities.
– The E-economy Congress Competition award is very important for us and confirms that we are effectively implementing our strategy of innovation. We keep developing digital channels for communicating and interacting with clients. The creation of goodie is an excellent example of how traditional banking can build a new business component in an innovative way, based on an advanced organisation culture model, which till now only start-ups had. – Ricardo Campos, Director of the Electronic Banking Department in Bank Millennium and at the same time CEO of Millennium Goodie said. – We want goodie to become for its users an inseparable companion in day-to-day shopping or e.g. restaurant outings. In the future goodie will be combining a range of functions offered today by separate systems. By using goodie you will be able either to seek out interesting offerings or take the presented promo deals, chat with friends or set up a meeting with them, book a restaurant table or pay for a meal – Ricardo Campos added.
- goodie is an ecosystem, which is unique on the Polish market and in which vendors, consumers and the bank interact to create value for all parties concerned. In an innovative way goodie combines the potential of mobility, e-commerce, geolocation, artificial intelligence and processing huge bodies of data. The solution is based on Microsoft Azure safe, flexible and scalable cloud infrastructure. This has allowed fast implementation of such service functions as image recognition, a recommendation engine based on machine learning or tools for multimedia management – Paweł Jakubik, Member of the Leadership Team at Microsoft Poland emphasised.
The goodie platform is free of charge and available to all users as a smartphone app for iOS and Android powered devices and as an innovative online platform at www.goodie.pl
