Extending Millekredyt DOM offer

Warsaw, 12.06.2001: Millennium BIG Bank Gdański S.A. is extending its housing loan offer to include new products. The new MilleKredyt DOM is a package of housing loans, the eventual security for which is a mortgage. To the existing offer of loans for the purchase of real properties in the primary or secondary market the Bank added a loan intended for the construction of a dwelling by a cooperative or a developer, the purchase of a real property under construction, individual house construction or completion of house construction, the purchase of land for construction of a house, repayment of another housing loan, as well as a loan for modernization, extension or refurbishment of a house or an apartment. Loans are offered in zlotys, US Dollars, and euros, and are available from the Millennium network and BIG Bank GDAŃSKI branches.

MilleKredyt DOM is addressed to Bank clients and persons who do not have an account with us.  The maximum loan principal depends on the client's creditworthiness, loan term, project costs and the borrower's age.  Loans bear interest at a variable interest rate based on: WIBOR 3M - for zloty loans, LIBOR 6M for US$ - for US$ loans, EURIBOR 6M - for loans in euro and based on a fixed bank margin.  The present interest rates on housing loans are as follows: zloty loans up to ten years - 17.80%, up to 20 years - 17.80%, up to 30 years - 18%, loans in US$ - 6.08% for all loan terms and loans in euro - 6.47% for all loan terms.
 
The Bank offers borrowers favourable conditions: a long term of financing of up to 30 years, low interest rates based on base rates, possibility of insuring loans, low down payment requirement - 20% or 10%, no fees for application consideration, low commission on granting a loan of 1%, a response to a loan application within fourteen days and a long grace period.  Clients can get a preliminary credit simulation immediately at a branch or by phone, by calling to the call centre Bankolinia or a general access bank info line TeleMillennium.  The Bank is trying to limit the required formalities in connection with granting the loan - real property surveyors operating in collaboration with the bank make an appraisal and determine a legal status of a real property, the bank may also arrange meeting with a notary in order to effect the transfer of the ownership title to the real property.
 
Loans can be given in two versions: on preferential terms for young borrowers from 21 to 28 years and in a standard option.  Under the option for young borrowers loans can be given for the maximum of 30 years, and under the standard version - up to 25 years.  The minimum loan term is six years.  In the case of loans intended for house or apartment refurbishment or purchase of land for construction, the loan term is from three to ten years.  Loans can be given for up to 90% of project costs under the young borrowers option and 80% under the standard version, in the case of a loan for the purchase of land for construction, the bank will provide a loan for up to 50% of purchase costs.
