Bank Millennium is a partner of Masterclass Leadership with the Pope

Close to 200 business leaders, including the Management Board of Bank Millennium, representatives of culture, social organisations and the media took part in a presentation of the of the Masterclass Leadership with the Pope programme in Warsaw.
The programme aims to train free-of-charge a million young leaders worldwide in the spirit of the “15 Principles of Leadership by Pope Francis” and of universal values. The mission of the programme is to develop the leadership competencies of young leaders on the basis of universal values and to deliver practical knowledge imparted by world icons of business, culture, science, sports as well as mature leaders from various countries around the world. The idea arose at the initiative of the Polish Foundation of National Creativity (CTN) and the Pontifical Council for Culture
In Bank Millennium leadership is an important aspect of developing employee competencies and our most important programme of leadership development is M#leaders – Jacek Chmielewski, Director of the HR Department of Bank Millennium said – Good leadership, apart from business achievement, is about the skill of building relationships with people, employees and customers. A good leader is characterised by consistency between actions and values. The good leader supports cooperation and develops him/herself as well as associates – Jacek Chmielewski added.
What is the Masterclass Leadership with the Pope programme?
According to its authors the programme is to involve full-day presentations in Poland and eventually in 25 countries around the world. Young people would have the opportunity to talk and listen to business, science and culture authorities and practitioners who use their own lives and their professional careers to come up with examples in answering important questions in reference to the 15 Principles of Leadership by Pope Francis. Additionally workshops are also planned in “round table” format where each team will have its mentor.
The programme will also be available on a universally accessible interactive internet platform. It will feature videos of mentors from all over the world. Each module will include a discussion forum for direct interaction between participants and mentors. Part of the project is to be the travelling Pontifical Meeting Tent, which will visit several dozen countries in the world with the mission to unite people, to create communities, for which values and future thinking matter.
Sitting on the programme council of Masterclass Leadership with the Pope is Bogusław Kott – Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bank Millennium.
The presentation of the programme idea, which took place on 16 January in Warsaw was attended by Messrs. Joao Bras Jorge, Fernando Bicho, Wojciech Haase, Wojciech Rybak and Bogusław Kott. Also i.a. the Papal Nuncio Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio; Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz; Prof. Andrzej Koźmiński – for many years the Rector of Kozminski University; Prof. Andrzej Chochół – Rector of Cracow University of Economics, Prof. Jerzy Bralczyk, Krzysztof Zanussi, Archbishop Grzegorz Ryś, Professor Krzysztof Meissner and Bogusław Wołoszański as well as many other well-known persons.
