At the beginning of April, the 16th edition of the Financial ABCs, an original financial education initiative, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, began.

The spring edition of the workshop will be attended by nearly 5 000 children, who will learn the basic concepts related to money, saving and security. The workshops will be held in 63 kindergartens, including therapeutic kindergartens for children with disabilities. The Bank Millennium Foundation constantly draws attention to the accessibility of the programme and emphasises how important it is to have access to financial knowledge for all children, regardless of their abilities and needs.

- The Financial ABCs is an initiative that has been supporting the youngest, their parents and guardians in building the right financial foundations and habits for ten years now. The programme was created as a response to the educational gap identified by the Foundation in the area of early economic education. Its aim is not only to develop the financial competences of preschool children, but also to provide real support to parents and guardians who face educational challenges every day and play a key role in shaping their children's attitudes – emphasises Paulina Wołosz-Sitarek, Member of the Management Board of the Bank Millennium Foundation, author of the programme.

In 2025, the Financial ABCs programme was under the patronage of the Ombudsman for Children. The Financial ABCs are an investment in the future of the youngest – building foundations that will help them make informed decisions and better find their way in adult life. From the beginning of the programme, i.e. in 2016, to the end of 2025, the Bank Millennium Foundation has trained almost 100 000 children, carrying out over 4 000 educational workshops in 1 194 kindergartens.
