The Bank Millennium Foundation has successfully completed the 15th edition of ‘Financial ABCs’ – its original financial education programme for the youngest, which has been running continuously since 2016.

For a decade, the Bank Millennium Foundation has been carrying out educational initiatives to introduce the youngest to the basics of finance in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate way. The ‘Financial ABCs’ workshops are conducted all over Poland, and their scenarios have been developed so that children learn through play – getting to know, among others, where money comes from, what an ATM is used for, secure electronic banking, as well as the differences between a need and a want. The advantage of the form of the activities is also the formation of independent thinking, creativity or making conscious decisions. ‘Financial ABCs’ is not only a programme based on kindergarten workshops; it also provides education for children and adults through materials available on the Foundation’s website and other channels. In 2025, the Financial ABCs programme was under the patronage of the Ombudsman for Children.

As part of the 15th edition of the programme, 198 workshops were carried out, which took place in 58 kindergartens and covered 4,850 children with financial education. What is more, as part of the 15th edition of the ‘Financial ABCs’, 11 workshops were conducted in therapeutic and specialist facilities for 105 children with various needs.

Since the start of the programme, i.e. from 2016 to the end of 2025, the Bank Millennium Foundation has trained 98,354 children as part of 4,012 educational workshops in 1,194 preschool institutions across Poland. The year 2026 will be a special year for the Financial ABCs programme – the Bank Millennium Foundation celebrates the 10th anniversary of the ‘Financial ABCs’, which over the years has grown into one of the largest and most recognizable financial education projects for preschool children in Poland.
