The Foundation’s educational programme, implemented over the past 10 years, has already reached more than 100 000 children across Poland. In its latest spring edition, 200 educational workshops were conducted, training 4 591 children from 62 preschools across Poland.

The workshops were held both in major cities – such as Szczecin, Gdańsk, Poznań, Warsaw, Łódź, Kraków and Wrocław – and in smaller towns, covering regions from Pomerania to Podkarpacie. Ongoing interest from institutions and strong engagement from children confirm the growing need for financial education from the earliest years. The sessions, based on interactive teaching methods, introduced the youngest participants to the world of finance through play, games, and age appropriate educational materials.

An important element of this year’s edition was the delivery of sessions in therapeutic preschools and institutions supporting children with disabilities. Thanks to appropriate adaptation of working methods, it was possible to ensure equal access to financial education and to create an environment conducive to learning tailored to the individual needs of participants.

- This is a special moment for us, as this year the ‘Financial ABC’ programme celebrates its 10th anniversary. We are very proud that over this time we have been able to support children in learning the basics of finance in an engaging, accessible, and inspiring way. We are pleased that the workshops are so well received not only by the youngest participants, but also by their caregivers. However, the ‘Financial ABC’ programme is not just about the workshops – it also provides support for parents and caregivers in the form of articles, videos, and other educational materials. We also greatly appreciate the commitment of our volunteers, who have supported the programme at many stages over the years: helping with the packing and distribution of materials, preparing educational resources, liaising with preschools, and even taking on the role of Sebastian. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all volunteers and supporters of the programme for their presence, energy and the heart they put into this initiative - Paulina Wołosz-Sitarek, Member of the Management Board of the Bank Millennium Foundation.

The Bank Millennium Foundation has been implementing the “Financial ABC” programme for 10 years, aiming to introduce young children to the basics of financial management and to develop responsible money habits. So far, more than 100 000 children from across Poland have taken part in the workshops. In 2026, the programme once again received the honorary patronage of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights.
