As part of its involvement in the financial education of children with disabilities, the Foundation translated into sign language the educational films of the Financial ABCs programme, conducted under the auspices of the Ombudsman for Children.

Translating the Financial ABCs footage into sign language is the first step towards the inclusivity of the programme. In 2025, celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Foundation is working on the comprehensive accessibility of the financial education programme for children and parents with disabilities, including sight, hearing, and for children with intellectual and motor disabilities.

An extremely important mission of the Foundation is to ensure that every child, regardless of their abilities, can have free access to financial knowledge. The first project towards the inclusivity of the programme was the translation of animated cartoons with Mr. Sebastian and video guides for parents into sign language. Through these activities, the Foundation strives to create an educational environment that is accessible and friendly for all children, regardless of their individual needs.

- - Since 2016, the Financial ABCs have been responding to the growing need for economic education of children and their parents. It is at preschool age that the youngest should be introduced to the world of finance and familiarized with the value of money, as well as the importance of the practice of saving. We are working on a comprehensive adaptation of the workshops, the scenarios of which are consulted with special educators, so as to address the programme to children with different needs. Already now, the teaching methods we use are adapted to various types of disabilities, thanks to which the Financial ABCs programme also reaches integration kindergartens, where animators conduct workshopsPaulina Wołosz-Sitarek, Member of the Management Board of the Bank Millennium Foundation.

Currently, the 14th edition of the Financial ABCs programme is underway, under which almost 5000 children in kindergartens throughout Poland will take part in workshops that will introduce them to the world of finance. In 2025, the Bank Millennium Foundation's flagship programme "Financial ABCs" received the honorary patronage of the Ombudsman for Children, Monika Horna-Cieślak, which is a unique recognition of its educational and social value. This patronage emphasizes the importance of the programme in promoting financial literacy among the youngest and its contribution to the development of financial education in Poland.

Since 2016, under the Financial ABCs programme, the Bank Millennium Foundation has carried out 3,612 educational workshops in kindergartens across Poland, attended by 88,812 children.
