Logging on to the Millenet for Companies system
Soon for the purpose of raising the security of using Millenet for Companies we will introduce a new improved logon method for all our clients.
The changes and modifications will feature:
- Masked password,
- Confirmation of logging on with a single-use SMS P@ssword.
The masked password and the SMSP@ssword will be introduced gradually over some weeks. Every newly created Millenet user will logon using the new rules.
Below please find a detailed description of the planned changes.
1. After logging on with the full password the User will receive a message informing that the next logon will be according to the new rules.
2. Introduction of masked password and SMS P@ssword
A masked password requires entry only of selected characters, which eliminates the need to enter the whole password thus making it difficult for third persons to learn it.
Users who have defined a mobile phone number in the system will also be asked to confirm logon with SMS P@ssword.
If the user does not have a phone number set up in Millenet for sending SMS P@sswords or the number is out of date, then a new number can be added or the old one updated by following the instructions.
Entering a masked password
Users who do not have a phone number set up in the system for sending single-use logon SMSP@sswords will logon only by using a masked password.
Using a virtual keyboard
For increased security when entering a password to log on a virtual keyboard may be used.
Eventually all Customers will use the new logon method. The process of migrating individual users will proceed gradually and each user will be informed independently after the last successful logon using the full password.
Yes. This is possible and is described in detail in dedicated instructions.
On the logon page you can use the button to send another SMS P@ssword. In case of doubts please contact the Millenet Help for Companies team: 801 632 632 or +48 22 598 40 31.
The process of providing users with the new logon method will start with a change of the logon page. Next individual users will be migrated in stages. Information about the change of logon method will be displayed during the last successful logon using the full password.
First log in
First log in to Millenet for Companies
The process of first log in to the Millenet system as well as of unblocking access proceeds in the same way. In order to log in to Millenet for Companies for the first time/unblock access a user should know: Millekod, Login and single-use password.
- If the User defined the contact phone number (gave the phone number in the configuration form) and was not issued an envelope with the password, he shall receive it by text when logging on.
- If the User received the envelope, he should use the password from the envelope – even if he stated the phone number in the configuration form.
On the Bank’s home page select Log in and then enter Millekod and use the Login button.
You will be moved to the Log in page where you will have to enter your Login and press Login.
If the User gave the contact phone number and did not get an envelope with the password, then at this point a text will be sent to him with the single-use login password.
The next screen will start the process of first log in or user unblock. In the next steps you must enter the single use password texted to you, then enter and re-enter the new password, which you will use to log in.
After selecting the Send button if the entered data are correct you should gain access to Millenet for Companies.
3. Unlocking with SMS P@ssword
If your access to the Millenet system has been blocked by triple use of an incorrect password when logging on, access may be recovered by setting up a new password or using the old password to log on (if you remember it and blocked access by accident):
- If you remember the old password, it can be unlocked by another user from the same Millekod or by a HelpDesk consultant
- If it is necessary to set up a new password and you provided your phone number to the Bank, your access can again be unlocked by another user from the same Millekod or by a HelpDesk consultant
- If it is necessary to set up a new password and you did not provide your phone number to the Bank, you will get a single-use password in an envelope, which you will receive in a Millennium branch
You must have a mobile phone number defined for contacting the Bank – it is to this number that texts with the unlocking password will be sent.
Yes, if you have a specific phone number defined for authorisation passwords, you will be able to use to unlock access to Millenet for Companies.
Yes, the authorisation phone number can be different than the phone number for unlocking access to electronic banking – Millenet for Companies has two separate fields for phone number in user data – either the same number or two different numbers can be entered in the two fields.
If you do not have a phone number assigned, in case of locked access to the Millenet for Companies system you can use the option of unlocking access using a password in an envelope. However if you wish to speed up the process of unlocking access and want to receive the password in a text message, you should get a phone number assigned. To do this another user of the same Millekod, who is authorised to edit user data, may assign the number and confirm the change by authorising it. Remember that after editing user data in the Millenet system you must print the data update document and send it to the Bank.
The second way of assigning a phone number is to contact the Relationship Manager and update the data on a paper form.
Such users can continue to use the former method for unlocking system access i.e. using the envelope with a password.
In this situation it is necessary to unlock access using a new single-use access password. If you have a mobile number defined in Millenet, then you can receive the new single-use password in a text message. For this to happen, another user of the same Millekod must use the following Millenet option Settings/Users list/User Details/Unlock Password/Unlock the ability to generate a new password.
This can also be done by the Bank Millennium HelpDesk. If you are a locked user with activated text passwords, use the link First log on / Unlock.
In this situation you can again have three consecutive attempts to log on with your old password. This possibility must be unlocked by another user of the same Millekod in the option Settings/Users list/User details/Unlock password/Unlock current password or by a HelpDesk consultant.
If after the three consecutive attempts the password will be locked again, the only way to regain access to Millenet will be by receiving a new Password1 – in an envelope or in a text message.
In such a situation you must remove the user from Millenet for Companies. This must be done to be completely confident that the user, who is not employed by the company anymore, cannot log on to the system.
To remove a user select the option Settings/Users/User details/Remove. The alternative method is to submit a paper user rights form – with the "remove user/s" option selected.
