Exchange rate risk
If you have chosen debt in a foreign currency you have to remember that you shall be exposed to a risk that foreign exchange rates may change. Due to the FX risk, both the installments and total debt under the loan, converted into PLN, fluctuates depending on the current FX rate. The FX risk is significantly smaller if the borrower applying for an FX loan receives income in the same currency as the loan s/he applies for.
On the other hand, one should remember that the term of the loan, i.e. 20-30 years over which you will continue repayments, shall level the fluctuations. One month the FX rate may be higher, thus making the installment higher, when converted to zlotys. Then, the currency may go cheaper, and you will pay a lower installment.
