What is an electronic signature?
The electronic signature is a secure and convenient way to authorise transactions with use of a reader and a smart card. It is designed for Customers who use the Millenet for Companies online banking system.

What requirements must be met by a user to use the electronic signature?
The electronic signature is available to every user who has authorisation rights

How to use the electronic signature?
- Before starting the transaction make sure that the reader is connected to a computer and that the smart card is correctly inserted in the reader,
- After selecting the "Authorise" or "Authorise and send" function the system will ask you to key in your PIN number
- Now just key-in the correct PIN number and confirm the order
- After the system has verified the PIN number the transaction will be authorised

What transactions will be authorised with an electronic signature?
The electronic signature is for authorising all transactions, which require authorisation in the Millenet system.

What is initialisation of an electronic signature?
Initialising an electronic signature aims at activating the Public key certificate, which will be recorded in the system. The name of the certificate will appear whenever authorisation is made with the electronic signature.

What is the structure of the Certificate?
The name of the Certificate is any sequence of characters (max. 40) defined by the user.

How long is the Certificate valid?
A certificate remains valid for 2 years from the date of its activation.

Can several users use a single smart card?
No. Every user gets a separate smart card and envelope with PIN number and PUK.

What to do if I forget my PIN or type-in a wrong one?
Only when you have typed in six wrong PIN numbers will the smart card be locked. To unlock the card type in your PUK (from the envelope) and key in the new PIN twice.

What is PUK and when do I use it?
PUK is used to unlock a smart card, which was locked after the wrong PIN was typed in six times. PUK is put in the envelope with the PIN.

What to do if I lose my PUK?
Come to a Branch to get a new smart card and envelope with PIN and PUK.
