Browser settings

Access to Millenet is available using Internet browser:

  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
  • Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or higher

Choose Tools in the upper browser menu. Choose InternetOptions.

  • in a Security tab mark Internet, click Custom level button and in the Scripting group, in the option Active scripting mark Enable,
  • choose Advanced tab:
    - in the Browsing group Show friendly messages HTTP error option should be on,
    - in the Security group mark:
    Do not save encrypted pages on disk,
    Warn about invalid site certificates,
    Warn if forms submittal is being redirected,
    Use SSL 2.0,
    Use SSL 2.0,
    Use TLS 1.0
    ,
  • in the HTTP 1.1 settings group mark the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections option.
  • choose the General tab, find Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files, mark Delete all offline contains and confirm it. Next, click the Settings button, set the Every visit to the page option. Choose OK and after return to the General tab confirm these settings with the OK button. Restart the browser.

Select Tools and Options from the menu at the top of the browser window:

  • Select Privacy:
    - in the Saved Forms tab clear Save information I enter in forms and the Search bar box,
    - in the Passwords tab clear Remember Passwords box,
    - in the Cookies tab Allow sites to set cookies box should be checked,
    - click Settings... at the bottom right corner and check the following boxes: Saved Form Information, Cache, Saved Passwords, Authenticated Sessions and Clear private data when closing Firefox. These settings are not essential for proper functioning of Millenet system, but they ensure high level security of data.
  • Select Advanced - Use SSL 3.0, Use SSL 2.0 and Use TLS 1.0 should be checked in the Security tab.
  • Select Content - Enable JavaScript should be checked.

Accept by clicking OK, then close and restart the browser.
